Types of Air Conditioning Units

During the summer we all like to enjoy comfortable temperatures. In some cases the only way to escape the heat is with an air conditioner. From so my brands to choose from it makes sense to start with type of air conditioning unit you need. Here we will briefly point out four different types.

1) A central air conditioner unit is the most powerful option available. It is capable of moving more air than other units making it ideal to cool homes and businesses. Depending on how much air you need cool will depend on the size and number of units you need. Most homes only need one unit to keep you atmosphere cool.

2) A ductless air conditioner is the next type of a/c which is able to cool a home. Although they will not cool an entire home they will cool an individual room. This is great The advantage of this great for homes without ducts, bonus rooms, and add-ons. If you already have ducts in your home than this is not really that much savings by installing over a central air conditioner.

3) Portable Air Conditioners are also a good option for rooms without ventilation. Depending on the size of the unit they usually cool a large space than a window air conditioner. They are often quieter than a window unit but will take up a small space of your home and need to have ventilation from a window. This is a good option if you don’t need something permanent like in an office or apartment.

4) Window Air Conditioners are usually the most cost effective units to purchase. Like the portable air conditioner unit they cool a single living space but usually are louder than the previous options. They are great for portability which can help you stay cool for those warmer days and need no installation.
